The Provo Westside Connector EIS project team has evaluated all data received during the scoping period. Based on the data collected, the team has prepared the Purpose and Need statement for the EIS.

A statement of Purpose and Need is the foundation for identifying issues of concern in the study area, and developing and evaluating alternatives that solve those issues. The purpose statement summarizes what the transportation and community issues are within the study area; and the need portion of the statement uses technical data, which identifies specific concerns within the study area that require improvements.
