The Provo Westside Connector EIS project team – in conjunction with federal and state agencies, the local government, and community representatives – will develop alternatives to address the transportation and community needs within the study area. Issues and concerns identified by the community will be addressed in the alternatives developed by the project team.

The initial set of alternatives will go through a “screening” process to compare the alternatives to screening criteria. The project team will eliminate alternatives that do not meet the Purpose and Need of the project, and have unreasonable and/or unacceptable impacts to the natural and built environment. A refined set of alternatives will be carried forward for detailed study in the Draft EIS.
